The Tap.A12 antibody reacts with murine and human integrin alpha5 chain (CD49e), that is part of the integrin alpha5 beta1 complex, also known as VLA-5. Integrin alpha5 beta1, a receptor for fibronectin, is widely expressed in tissue, especially on monocytes, T-cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, activated lymphocytes, and to lower extent on platelets and granulocytes.
